I am the ghost of groovymother.com. Woooooo!

This is an old page from Rod Begbie's blog.

It only exists in an attempt to prevent linkrot. No new content will be added to this site, and links and images are liable to be broken. Check out begbie.com to find where I'm posting stuff these days.

The Snake Tweeting Its Own Tail

This evening, @cheever saw an automated retweet by @02138now of a tweet by @Sooz containing a picture of me wearing the Twitshirt of the tweet I posted last October which helped me leave Current.

He, of course, twittered about it. And I just bought his tweet as a t-shirt.

Congratulations, Twitter, for building one of the world’s leading “What t-shirt is Rod Begbie wearing right now?” systems.

My favourite wedding photo

My favourite wedding photo

Today, I received the DVD containing scans of our wedding photos from ScanCafe. I still have to sort through them and organize them before uploading them to Flickr, but here's a taster which I think sums up the whole ceremony -- Myself and Joy (with our chum, TC) sat on the bleachers at ImprovBoston laughing uproariously at the excellent "Scottish" "accent" of our officiator, IB's Artistic Director, Will Luera.

TC's Ministry of Propaganda: Denouement

TC sums up yesterday pretty well: Police did the right thing, politicians, mainstream media *and* bloggers overreacted all over the shop. Favourite line: “Note: If the MBTA were truly Fascist maybe the damn trains would run on time.”

TC's Ministry of Propaganda: Who Screwed Boston?

Throwies shut down Boston — I-93 North and big chunks of the MBTA were shut down today due to “suspicious objects that looked like circuit boards, found attached to bridges”. Turns out they were promotional throwies for Adult Swim. Somebody at Time Warner’s about to get fired, I imagine.
