Hello. I'm Rod Begbie.
I'm a 32-year-old geek, originally from Tillicoultry in Scotland, but currently leaving my heart in San Francisco. Prior to SF, I spent ten glorious years living in the vicinity of Boston, MA.
My day job is as a senior software engineer and sheep herder at Slide, makers of the finest social networking gizmos and distractions.
Previously, I have been been employed as an API architect by Current TV, in the R&D labs of a large consumer electronics company whose name Rhymes With Nose, consulting as an "Architect for the New Economy" at a company whose name is an Anagram Of Panties, and I ducked out the (first) dot-com-bubble-burst in a basement of a bank doing fixed-income annuity analysis, which is as dull as it sounds.
I'm married to the lovely Joy, own two splendidly-dumb basset hounds, and cannot complete a list without invoking the comedy rule of three.
