I am the ghost of groovymother.com. Woooooo!

This is an old page from Rod Begbie's blog.

It only exists in an attempt to prevent linkrot. No new content will be added to this site, and links and images are liable to be broken. Check out begbie.com to find where I'm posting stuff these days.

Internet encyclopaedias go head to head : Nature

Nature magazine performed a blind peer-review of several science topics in Wikipedia and Encyclopædia Britannica. Perhaps surprisingly, the number and type of errors in both were very similar, although the experts found the writing in Wikipedia to be considerably worse.

Dean Gray Tuesday recap

Yesterday, along with over 200 other civilly-disobedient sites, I hosted Dean Gray’s American Edit

It was a rousing success—I saw close to 500 unique visitors to my download page, which would suggest that over the 200 download sites, there were 100,000 downloaders over the course of the 24 hours.

For those of you with Firefox 1.5, here’s my stats for the last week—See if you can spot Dean Gray Tuesday!

Your browser does not support Scalable Vector Graphics. Install the Adobe SVG Viewer, or upgrade to an SVG-compatible web browser, like Firefox 1.5.

Visit the Fresh View home page for more information about viewing these SVG graphs.

If you missed out yesterday, I’m afraid I’ve taken down the MP3s from my site, and don’t know where you can download them, although I would suggest maybe looking on a torrent site like The Pirate Bay.

See you all next time the recording industry makes a really dumb move!
