Yay! Fireworks!
Photo essay on the insanity of fireworks packaging, courtesy of Cabel Sasser. When I was a kid in the UK, home fireworks were crappy little cheap boxes of wussy rockets and barely-spinny Catherine Wheels. These are huge, expensive and bizarre in comparison.

Boston Red Sox - Balance ball
Bizarre event at today’s Sox/Yankees game. Johnny Damon caught a hit before colliding with the wall and losing the ball… which balanced atop the wall for a good second or two. The photos are worth it for the gobsmacked Sox fan in the background.
Rain Delay
The game gets halted for 90 minutes. Thankfully, the tarp came off and the Sox won 6-4.
Full House that Ruth built
Sold-out Sox/Yankees match at Yankee Stadium. Joy & I wanted to visit here at least once before the Yanks move next door to... Yankee Stadium
