This is an old page from Rod Begbie's blog.
It only exists in an attempt to prevent linkrot. No new content will be added to this site, and links and images are liable to be broken. Check out begbie.com to find where I'm posting stuff these days.
Got these printed by PSPrint. The typeface is the smart-yet-sketchy Sketch Rockwell.
(If I'd had more cash to spend on them, I'd have liked to have gotten them cut with rounded corners, but that's for another day -- once I've handed out all 500 of these puppies!)
Of course, now I need to regrow my beard so I look like my avatar again...
I finally have photographic proof that I met David Ortiz at CES.
Because my camera was a tad busted, the folks behind me in line offered to take my photo with their camera, then email me the photo. It arrived last night, so now you can all see evidence of the strong personal friendship me & Papi share.
(I'm the one on the right)
"...and I'll tell you why your startup idea _sucks_"
My name badge at this week's Web Innovators Group meetup. Written before I discovered it was an open bar!

In case anyone’s looking for them, the slides and (limited) notes from my talk at Ignite Boston last night.
Lummy! It’s been five years since I started writing on groovymother.com. Gonna have to spend some time this weekend doing visualizations of my post history.
Back in the third year of my CompSci degree, there was a class that was around personal development and teamwork — presumably to help tweak out the Asbergery tendencies of CompSci students — and part of it was the Johari Window (which I largely remember because its name comes from the fact that its inventors were Joe and Harry). If you know me, go pick five or six adjectives to describe me, and see how self-aware I really am.
I'm currently the 3rd search result on Google for "rod". Just pipped by a custom cars magazine and everyone's favourite MFY A-Rod, but trouncing pretend-Scot Rod Stewart.
(I also take 9 out of 10 slots for "Rod Begbie", which must annoy my doppelgangerly-nomenclatured Australian singer/songwriter and Scottish financial manager virtual brethren)
This is an archive of groovmother.com, the old blog run by Rod Begbie — A Scottish geek who lives in San Francisco, CA.
I'm the co-founder of Sōsh, your handy-dandy guide for things to do in San Francisco this weekend.
