Good post by MG Siegler, which covers why I don’t have an Android phone. With Apple, I have one benevolent dictator saying what I can and can’t do with my phone. With Android, I have Google, a manufacturer and a carrier all clammering to control the experience.
Very satisfying. Facebook add a ridiculous feature, only visible to people who work at TechCrunch. A writer spots it, give FB a whole 24 minutes to respond to his questions, and in the TC way, rushes out a story so he can “scoop” competitors. Pwned!
Last.fm follow up to the unsubstantiated rumour published as fact by TechCrunch on Friday.

Set-up for what certainly seems to be a hatchet-job on Bose, but it does include the superb introduction “Bose is sort of the Hillary Clinton of tech — you either love them or hate them, and they’ve got lots of cash.”
Hooray! It’s the first fucking idiotic, easily-gamable, pyramid-scheme, AllAdvantage-style “We’ll pay you to watch ads” business model of the new bubble.
