Walking Papers

A fab project from Stamen’s Mike Migurski that I’d somehow missed. Print out an area map, walk around notating your paper copy, then scan it and submit it back to help make the data more widely available. A fantastic use of “Papernet”

The Information Freeway :: A map of the planet

Very nifty Google Maps-like tiled-and-draggable front-end to the Open Street Map data. I was surprised how detailed the data was for my neighbourhood, but I guess I shouldn’t have been, given the high geek-density round here.
