T-Mobile Shuts Down Twitter Service for Good?

T-Mobile is blocking SMSes sent to Twitter, claiming it is “not an authorized third-party service provider”. This is interesting — if users are paying for text messages and SMS packages, does the phone company have any right to block delivery?

EXCLUSIVE! Apple rumor

Our agents can exclusively reveal that, according to sources deep within Apple (ie. a “genius” at the store in Cambridge, who saw the photo of Clyde I have as my laptop’s wallpaper), dogs are allowed in Apple Stores.

According to our source, who cannot be named (because I don’t know his name), even though the mall bans dogs, if you park in the garage below the mall and take the elevator up, it’s only a 10 foot dash to the Apple Store, so the guards won’t spot you.

No indication was given at this time as to rumoured plans for what happens if your dog takes a crap near the iPhones.

Fuck Think Secret! This is where the real Apple gossip can be found.

Snowbasset

Snowbasset

It's challenging when there's 8" of snow on the ground, but your legs are only 7" long.

Clyde has also found the new tastiest snack ever -- Snow. He bloody loves eating it. So long as he sticks to the white stuff, we're happy for him.

How to create custom ringtones in GarageBand 4.1.1

Apple gives official route to creating your own custom iPhone ringtones. Of course, they only sanction it for “your original songs”, but it’s a big step forward from the lockdown a couple of months ago.

Clyde in his too-small bed

Clyde in his too-small bed

We won this dog bed in a raffle at a basset rescue event last year, but Bacon never really took to it.

Now Clyde has discovered it and has made it his; Despite the fact that he barely fits without hanging over the edges.

Control AppleScript from Python. The prospect of using Python to hack on my iTunes library is massively exciting!

Apparently, America is over the whole race thing. at goodCRIMETHINK

“We’ve gone from a country that could not imagine having a black president, to one where people compete to prove their candidate is blacker than the other. Amazing.”

Our house on Street View

Google have added Boston and surrounding cities to Street View. I was rather surprised to see they did our area of Somerville. Here's the outside of our house, with my beat-up Civic proudly on display.

Dead handly location-bar-autocomplete-expander for Firefox 2 — It matches against all parts of the URL and page title, so it’s easier to find pages from your history.
