I am the ghost of groovymother.com. Woooooo!

This is an old page from Rod Begbie's blog.

It only exists in an attempt to prevent linkrot. No new content will be added to this site, and links and images are liable to be broken. Check out begbie.com to find where I'm posting stuff these days.

Lost In Translation

CD Purchase: Various Artists - Lost In Translation

Audiosurf: Ride Your Music

An outstandingly fun Windows game: Drive a car over coloured blocks on a track generated by an MP3 of your choosing. Pick something mellow, and you get a relaxing low-scoring game. But if you want a challenge, throw some pumping techno its way. Works very well with Chemical Brothers and Pixies, I find. Best use of Digital Signal Processing ever!

Pepsi launches 'healthy' option

Pepsi launches an all-“natural” version of Pepsi in a limited trial. Of course, it’s just as unhealthy, being massively full of sugar, but we can all pretend it’s better for you.

Outtakes from last week’s Late Night where Conan O’Brien, Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart killed time/entertained the nation (delete as appropriate) by brawling.

Android in Harvard Square

If you’re interested in developing for Google’s new cellphone platform, there’s a developer day in Cambridge in a couple of weeks. Wonder if the iPhone SDK will be out by then too? Would be interesting to compare-and-contrast.

Jon Stewart uses the exact same words as I did when I read Mitt Romney’s dropping-out speech. (Spoiler: “FUCK YOU!”)

Lola Boston - A Woman's Guide to Boston

The Globe’s fine marketing folks apparently decided that the perfect name for their new women’s supplement was that of the transvestite from the Kinks song.
