I could totally see artisanal weed being sold at the Ferry Building by the end of the year…
Probably the most interesting measure on next week’s ballot. I’m hoping it passes, despite not having had a puff in years.
You can almost make out that there's a computer under there somewhere.
Yum!
Guess which of these rules I added.
My favourite dish.
The aftermath.
Came third in audience voting. Cal wanted to smear it on his face and enjoy a bacon facial.

Joy starts working on her Bacon & Blue Cheese dip.
Clyde is aging, and stairs are not his strong point. (You try dragging 70lbs on little stumpy legs!) He made his way up from the beach masterfully, though.
Part of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, one of my favourite places in SF is Fort Funston, especially on a 60ºF sunny Sunday like today. It's a fantastic place to take Bacon & Clyde. They run around off-leash with lots of other dogs in a lovely sandy area next to the Pacific.
The in-store demo Xbox 360 at Target bites the dust.
OK, maybe not as awesome as the Staples/Dunkin Donuts/Pizza Hut triumvirate in Somerville, but an In-n-Out and a Krispy Kreme in such close proximity is truly a thing of beauty.
Spotted near AT&T Park.
A handful of photos from Joy’s and my trip in a hot-air balloon, high above “wine country”.
The quick-deflate valve in action. (See the full set of photos from our hot air balloon trip)
The x-rays of my teeth, displayed on the hyper-fancy computerised x-ray-o-matic software at my new dentist's office. This monitor is expressly positioned above the chair so patients can see what's going on.
Possibly my favourite thing Kathy Sierra has created.
Making myself feel better by posting some Kathy Sierra graphics around work. I left a couple in the hallway conference room yesterday evening, since there's a "senior staff meeting" there first thing today. Wonder if they'll be removed prior…

During a test run of Hack the Debate.
This is either the Twitter-scanning nerve-center of the Current TV Hack the Debate coverage, or we're having a pledge drive.
Enjoying running round and barking at the other dogs. Loudly.
Tara Hunt's adorable new pug. His tongue seems to be too big for his mouth, so is always sticking out to the side.
Clyde was taking a leak, then decided he needed to sniff something across the sidewalk. Sadly, he's old, so stopping wasn't an option, thus this attractive lumbering pattern.
Kent Brewster's Hack Day Display, pulling in the latest photos from Flickr, and tweets from Twitter.
If you're trying to sleep, but it's bright out, you've got your own built-in eyemask.
Took the dogs for a walk along the beach at Crissy Field this afternoon.

Enjoy drinking beer, but tired of the inevitable handcramps from holding the bottle? Get your SF Giants Lager Mitt from the stand at MoMo's, across from AT&T Park.
I only caught this sign out of the corner of my drunken eye this evening. At first, I was bemused that "Rex-Goliath Wings" would advertise with a rooster eating a drumstick. Only once I read it more clearly and realised what the rooster was *meant* to be holding did it seem lest tasteless (albeit mildly more bizarre)
An odd selection of signs on this liquor store. (And another Eye-Fi test… this photo was uploaded via the Wi-Fi hotspot in the McDonald's behind me as I took the photo, and was in Flickr before I got back to my desk)
First photo taken (and automatically uploaded and geotagged) with my new Eye-Fi Explore card.
I never saw much point in the olde Eye Fi cards, when they could only upload to your home network (if I'm already home, I'm already near my laptop and can grab the photos), but with the hotspot support, on-the-go uploading suddenly becomes viable from my nice camera.
but that's not what I saw when it caught my eye in the supermarket. This is what happens when your designer doesn't give a, ahem, "fuel".
New laptop sticker, swiped from Citizen Space. Seems appropriate since my role at Current is making things RESTful. (BTW, if anyone wants a Current TV sticker, ping me)
No meetup with Laura will be complete without a list of attending Twitter usernames! (@sfordinarygirl @beaulebens @meryl333 @dlieberman @jjtoothman @rodbegbie @missrogue @jbumpas @microplace @moyalynne @creativesage)
In Somerville, we had a three-floor house with basement. Now we have a one storey apartment. We used to have two offices and a spare room, now we have a combination office/spare room. Which will also hold my clothes, since we've got a smaller bedroom too.
In unrelated news, we'll be renting a storage locker shortly.
New bed from Ikea assembled. I AM THE KING OF THE ALUM KEY!
Aysys, Beesus, Seesus, Deesus, Eesus, Effsus, and Jesus.
Joy and I "adopted" a Tapir at the zoo last year.
I get very excited when I see wind-farms in action. Energy being captured from a totally renewable source? Genius! I hope Cape Wind gets going soon.

One out shy of a no-hitter, Curt Schilling talks to Tina Cervasio of NESN.
This was out number 24 en route to what looked like a no-hitter.
Apparently, in Oakland the crowd need to be *told* to cheer their team.
Peering through a TV camera.
Here's what it looked like from Row 35 in Section 110 of the McAfee Coliseum. The tickets were considerably cheaper (and easier to come-by) than their Fenway equivalents.
Schilling warming up.
At the Jelly Belly factory.
When we arrived, there was someone posing next to the sign and having his photo taken. I'm not that much of a fanboy, so I just took a shot out the car window as I drove by.
(I did end up spending $120 in the Apple Company Store, though!)
One of Sarah Winchester's more interesting architectural features -- the door from the second floor to the garden.
Joy wearing her hard-hat, before we went a-adventuring on the Winchester Mystery House behind-the-scenes tour.
Looking through the list of "Things To Do In San Jose" that was in our hotel, Joy immediately went "Oooh!" when she saw a mini-golf course.
The second flyer I received from Scientologists today. Rather disingenuously, this one doesn't feature the word "scientology" anywhere on it. (It's credited to the "Citizens Commission on Human Rights® International")
It's only because of that whole BBC Panorama farrago from a few weeks that I know that the "An Industry Of Death" thing is anything to do with them.
Most bizarre thing spotted in a Hollywood gift-shop so far.
Flyer from the first time (of three) I was approached by Scientologists on Hollywood Boulevard today. At least this one mentions Scientology.

"Branded Lanyard" would be a great name for a rock band.
